Chelsea Area Mutual Aid
Chelsea Area Mutual Aid meets every second Friday. Following a consensus decision-making structure, the purpose of these meetings is to build community, share our knowledge and skills, and make a plan to work together to address a concrete material need of our community or one of our members.
This could be a community level project like a donation drive/distribution, or it could be at the individual level, like helping someone with car repairs while teaching others how to make the repair, or a home or garden project. We intend to meet monthly for this purpose, and to also complete one assistance project together each month. Join us, meet wonderful people, and share your love and talents with your neighbors!
Chelsea Area Mutual Aid Fund
Our goal is to support any genuine material need for community members: emergency expenses related to housing/utilities in crisis, food, medication, transportation, childcare, or other needs. Requests are considered based on the need described and resources available—we aim to have a lower bar for granting requests than denying them.
How it works:
Anyone can request support using the google form. we’ll reach out within a few days to provide an update and gather any additional information. Someone from the Chelsea Area Mutual Aid Fund Team will confirm your request in a few days and follow-up with next steps.
